Term 2, Week 3

Hi everyone,

For our first reading response, I want you to think about the beginning of the book you have just read.  We're looking at narratives this term, so think carefully about the orientation.
  • Did the orientation grab your attention?
  • What was it about the orientation that grabbed your attention or turned you off?  What did the author do or not do?
  • What was one good thing about this orientation that you would like to use in your own writing?

    old bun and the burglar is a very intresting story about lots of mice in a town called mouseville where there have been rummours spreading about burglars aiming for all mice that are rich that live alone.

    no, the orientation didn't grab my attention. thought the very, very rich bit did.
    what turned me off was that he lived alone and that he smelled cheese and it smelled like rich perfume. i think the author could of started with a bit more of a dramatic start to the start of it like that his family died in a car crass or some thing there then that.
    that he was very rich man and that he live alone.

    NO!!!!! it didnt grab my attention, because i have read the book alread and and when you read somthing and then read it again it will get really no interesting!! it proberly good for taylah because she hasn't read the story but for me and the other people in my group it was just no good!!
    sorry mr.barden but we want a new book!!!!!!

    thank you mr barden for this awesome book called plagues and federation
    so far we know ma, kitty barnes miss colins, bertie, george, ethel, fred, artie, pa and clare may the baby they live at darlinghurst it all began in the 1900's they made a poem that goes like over the garden wall l let the baby fall my mother came out an gave me a clout and sent me over the wall .

    plagues and federation is so awesome l like the part about the poem that l wrote last week who gave the idea of this book who ever siad it is s smart l hope it was u so far the book is about a fight has hapned
